The positive effects of social bookmarking for publishers of news sites, blogs and other web sites is outstanding. Social bookmarking can introduce the sites that you own or you like to others with relevant tastes, can drive traffic to your site, and valuable backlinks.Bookmarks show how a site is perceived, and when these sites allow voting, they also show the engines or whatever classification system which monitors voting, how people feel about the quality of the site.

I would just add a reference to a company called Me.dium those guys see the social bookmarking in their own way - allowing users to see the web sites there friends are browsing. There is a nice post about Me.dium on blog called 'She dreams in digital'. I gave it a try as soon as I got to know that this venture is funded by Bred Feld, he is a 'Brand name' for me. I was referred to him by Chris Ueland from Globat.com a couple of years ago and his blog is one of my
daily reading spots now.

Thanx, Egor! Nice piece of information, indeed!
But my Stumble!-
button always sends me somewhere to the web-sites I wouldn't-
ever visit ;-)

The only question to you, what is the-
percentage of actual "enterings" on the web-sites from Social-
Bookmarking web-sites that were tested by you?
