CASE STUDIES : Eventique - Event Planning Solution

Eventique is the event planning boutique in New York City specializing in corporate, special occasion, and nightlife event planning for companies of all sizes in the New York City area and aimed to eliminate the stress related to organizing corporate and social events.

Challenge

The challenge at this project was to implement one stop solution to manage events, venues and contacts.

Solution

Main part of the solution is administrator backend. Administrators can manage all information on site, contacts, events and special features (like manage team, manage feedbacks etc.) Second part is employee access system so each employee can login to the backend and see only specific information according to the set permissions.

Among other useful features is todo and schedule services for employees. Each employee can have his own tasks and calendar. Tasks and events can be shared through any number of employees.

Results

The solution that we developed has backend to manage all information and special features. Search for venues on the site implemented with ajax features and has simple interface to can user find venues by criteria (location, type).

Home page on the website contains flash animation with graphical presentation of the all site information.

The following funtionality has been implemented:

CRM functionality;

Event management;

Web site content management;

Team management;

AJAX features on venues search on the website;

Search functionality.

Customer benefits

Cost Advantage. The system was developed fully offshore and total costs of the project are 5-6 times lower compared with the onsite model;

Maintenance and Further Development. New features can be implemented and added to the current website without re-implementation other parts and don’t affect on site work;

Efficient architecture (3 application layers: Business Logic Layer (BLL), Data Access Layer (DAL) and User Interface Layer (UIL).
