SimplySellular.com is using the web site for spreading the word about the opportunity for people to sell used cell phones. As a result of SEO campaign the targeted keywords are ranked high in Search Engines, thus accomplishing the goal of driving targeted traffic to the web site of our customer.
When the optimization work started, the web site www.simplysellular.com had some major issues with Google placement. The web site was indexed well, had PR3 on index page but couldn't appear on TOP rankings even under low-traffic keywords. It was clear that some of Google filters were applied. Unique content and meta information as well as submission of XML sitemap to Google gave SimplySellular a fresh start and dragged the site out of supplemental results.
During the SEO campaign SEO Consultant assigned to the project focused on the following activities:
- More than 20 pages were added to boost the keyword density;

Already existing pages were rewritten as well with the help of universal mod_rewrite rules. The most important step in here was to change the system vars base (index.php) to the keyword operator (displayphones.php). Instead , for example, http://www.simplysellular.com/index.php?Hitachi=23 it became http://www.simplysellular.com/displayphones.php?Hitachi=23; Such URLs are more informative for users and contribute to better ranking of a site in search engine result pages.
- The site underwent best practice SEO procedures including keyword density optimization, meta tags rewriting and optimization as well as html code optimization;
- XML sitemap creation and submission to Google;
- Robots. Txt creation and relevant adjustments;
- Checking and fixing broken links;
- Special block of automatic news was added to target chosen key-phrases. This was done in order to increase the amount of related and interesting content on the web-site;
- Link-exchange campaign in different forms was implemented to gain more TrustRank weight;
- Full monthly reports on the SEO work performed on the basis of statistic analysis drawn from Google Analytics.
Results
Special steps performed for the site which released the web sites from Google's Supplemental Results and made the above mentioned web site more respectable for SE's algorithms and gained high rankings in Google, Yahoo and Live.com.
